Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada. She is American. She has more than twenty albums. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk-rock and alternative rock but has additional influences from punk funk hip hop and jazz. Ani Difranco has been widely acknowledged as a pioneer of music that is feminist. In 1990, she was among the first to establish her own independent record label. DiFranco was born in Buffalo New York on September 23rd, 1970. She was the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross) and Dante Americo DiFranco The couple had been in contact while at in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Her father was Italian descent and her mother was from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors. The track is available on the album Not a Pretty Girl by Ani DiFranco that was released in 1996. On the soundtrack of 1999's Canadian romantic film Better Than Chocolate is a version of the song.
