Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. Coleman graduated from Arnold School Blackpool, where she achieved straight As for A-levels. Moffat selected her because of the ease with which she worked together with Smith as well as the fact that she spoke faster than him. However, she is better popular for her television projects rather as opposed to films.
