Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. On her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne (in flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. Perry was forbidden to start acting by her parents until an adulthood stage, because they feared the strain it might cause. Perry was shy throughout high school and was not a performer. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends as she transferred from Boston University. Perry, after graduating from Boston University, relocated from Boston to New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. In the end, the feeling of homelessness led her to California in search of theater jobs. She was in 2013 on stage with The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In the year 2015, she was along with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. She was also a regular actor on the ABC politics drama Scandal with her dad. In the same year, she was cast as a younger model of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again portraying a younger version of her mother's role. The part was offered to her by way of audition regardless of the fact that there is a connection between her family to the character.
