Zoe-perry

Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago In Illinois, she was the child of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as shown in flashback) Her mother portrayed Jackie Harris in two of Perry's early TV appearances. The parents of her didn't want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry claims she never wanted to be an actor in highschool but decided to start performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry managed to get small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. However, her homesickness caused her to move to California to return, where she started to work on stage. The Other Place was performed by her and her mother on Broadway in 2013. The show featured the father of her character Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in the year 2015 on The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. Her father played her on her role on the ABC show Scandal. In the same year, she was cast as a young character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again playing a young character of her mom's role. Despite her family link to the character she got the part through an audition.
