Zoe-perry

Perry was born to Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. She was not allowed to perform with her parents till she reached the age of adulthood because they were afraid of the strain it might create. Perry was shy during high school and did not act. She began acting at Northwestern University to gain friends after she was transferred to the university from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University moved to New York in search of TV roles. She landed small parts on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California to find theater work. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. Perry was in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie, along with Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played a lead role in the drama's nine episodes from 2016 on ABC's show The Family. Perry was a regular character in the ABC political drama Scandal which starred her father. She was also cast in her role on the CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger than Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. She got the part by auditioning for an open role despite being connected to this role.
