Zoe-perry

Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first television roles were two appearances as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in the ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mom. The parents of her did not want her to perform until she turned an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry was a shy teenager and was not a performer. The actress began her acting career at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved from Boston University. Perry was a graduate of Boston University, relocated in New York in search of TV roles. Her small part was on TV shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness led her to California for theater roles. She and her mother starred on Broadway as a couple in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, Perry had an appearance on ABC's political thriller Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She got the part through an open audition despite being a fan of this persona.
