Zoe-perry
Perry is daughter to actors Laurie Metcalf, and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances on TV as Jackie Harris, a character who was played by her mom in her role on the ABC comedy Roseanne. However, her parents were not keen to let her pursue acting until she became older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was shy in high-school and didn't act. She started acting in the year 2000 at Northwestern University to gain friends upon her transfer to the university from Boston University. Perry started her acting career with New York after graduation, getting small roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, her home-sickness forced Perry move back to California and find work as a theater actress. Perry's mother and I appeared on Broadway together with her in The Other Place, in 2013. Her father was also in the production. Kevin McKidd and Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize winning drama Anna Christie in 2015 in The Odyssey Theatre Ensemble, West Los Angeles. Perry appeared in nine episodes of the ABC film The Family in 2016. In 2017, she had her own recurring part on The ABC political thriller Scandal featuring her father. The same year, she played a young character based on Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother as a young version. The actress was chosen for the part despite the close relationship with the character's family.
