Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles were two roles on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) on her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne which was played by her mom. Her parents, however, did not want her to perform until she turned an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry said that she felt shy to act when she was in high school. However, she started performing at Northwestern University as a way to meet new people after she transferred from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, relocating in New York in search of TV roles. Perry was able to land small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But, her home-sickness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Her mother and she starred on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In the year 2015, she was together with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, she had a minor role on ABC's political thriller Scandal that starred her father. Also in 2017, she appeared as a child-like version of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory) as her mother in a youthful version. The character was assigned by audition in spite of the fact that there is a connection between her family with the character.
