Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw, also known as Elizabeth Alice MacGraw, is an American writer and designer who has been awarded numerous prizes for her works. She is a proponent of the rights of animals. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). New York was her home and she was raised in an artistic environment. Her first job was as a photo assistant after that she moved on to acting and modeling. The first two films she made were noticed and she received the Golden Globe Award of Most promising newcomer. MacGraw quickly became famous following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was selected for an Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years MacGraw was ranked as the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. In Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she was able to have her handprints and signature engraved. In addition, she was a part of The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography, of hers came out. MacGraw has been married three times.
